Spiral Ham Rolls

  1. Divide the dough into 8 portions.
  2. If you make your own dough, once you divide it, one portion should weigh about 60 g.
  3. Roll all the portions into balls, cover them with a tightly wrung out damp towel, and let them sit for 15 minutes.
  4. Roll out the dough so it's double the size of the ham slice, and then put the ham on top.
  5. Roll up the dough from the bottom.
  6. Once you are done rolling it, make sure to seal it tightly.
  7. With a scraper or a kitchen knife, cut it into three portions.
  8. Spread a paper cup or confectionery glassine cup, and stick the portions to it.
  9. Push down gently with your hands adjusting the height.
  10. Let the dough rise a second time.
  11. If you are doing the rising in your oven, keep an eye on them and remove them a little earlier than you normally would.
  12. Then preheat the oven to 190C.
  13. Once the dough has doubled in size, and right before you put them in the oven, top them with mayonnaise.
  14. Bake them for 12~13 minutes at 180C till done.
