Brown Sauce Recipe
- 4 tsp margarine
- 5 tsp flour
- 3 x beef bouillon cubes
- 3 c. water warm
- 1/8 tsp pepper
- 1/8 tsp garlic
- 2 tsp tomato sauce
- 1/2 tsp brown gravy
- Heat margarine Stir in flour.
- Cook and stir for 5 min.
- Dissolve cubes in warm water and gradually add in to flour, stirring constantly till mix is thickened and smooth.
- Add in pepper and garlic and simmer 20 min.
- Add in tomato sauce and coloring and cook 5 min longer.
- NOTES : I use this sauce for the chicken piccata you wil find in this book.
