  1. Beat the egg yolks until light and lemon-colored, then stir in the sugar syrup.
  2. Heat the beer to just under the boiling point and slowly add to the sweetened egg yolks, beating constantly.
  3. Serve in warmed 8-ounce mugs and grate nutmeg on top of each.
