Robert Redford's Whole Wheat Quick Bread

  1. Grease a 9x5x3-inch loaf pan.
  2. Heat oven to 400F (200C).
  3. Mix flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
  4. Beat egg in a large bowl.
  5. Stir in buttermilk, molasses (or honey) and butter.
  6. Stir in flour mixture.
  7. Mix in walnuts and raisins.
  8. Scrape batter into prepared pan and bake 50 to 60 minutes, or until bread is well browned.
  9. Remove from oven and place on a wire rack to cool.
