Green tomatoes atop sausage
- 1 large green tomato
- 1/4 lb country ( bulk ) sausage I used Odoms Tennessee Pride
- 1/4 tsp basil
- 1/4 cup sliced colby jack cheese
- 4 tsp grated parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- Heat oil in a pan
- Add sausage form into patties large ones.
- Have small pieces to crisp on side.
- When sausage is turned add sliced cheese after you turned and cooking for 1 and a half minutes.
- After cheese melts let cook 3 minutes more remove to a paper towel
- Slice the tomato thick and add to oil.
- Fry about 3 minutes.
- Turn and add parmesan cheese salt and pepper fry 2 minutes.
- Remoe to sausage patties 2 on each patty.
- Add sausage crisp, and basil.
- If you have any tomato left over dice and add to your plate add salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve hope you enjoy
