Chicago Style Deep Dish Pizza
- 1/2 to 1 lb. ground meat
- 1/2 c. chopped onion
- 6 oz. can pizza sauce
- 2 Tbsp. Parmesan cheese
- 1 to 1 1/2 tsp. oregano or Italian seasoning
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 1 can (10 biscuits) buttermilk biscuits
- 1 can mushrooms (optional)
- 1 c. Mozzarella cheese
- pepperoni (optional)
- green pepper (optional)
- Heat oven to 350u0b0.
- Grease a 9-inch pie pan.
- Brown ground meat and onion; drain off grease.
- Stir in pizza sauce, Parmesan cheese, oregano, salt and pepper.
- Simmer while preparing crust. Arrange biscuits in pan.
- Press over bottom and sides.
- Parbake for 10 minutes.
- Spoon on meat mixture. Put on mushrooms, etc. Sprinkle on Mozzarella cheese.
- Bake for 20 to 25 minutes.
