Meatballs and Cranberry Sauce
- 2 lbs ground beef
- 1 cup breadcrumbs (crushed) or 1 cup corn flakes (crushed)
- 2 eggs
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 14 teaspoon pepper
- 12 teaspoon garlic powder
- 13 cup ketchup
- 2 tablespoons instant onion soup mix
- 1 (16 ounce) can cranberry sauce, pureed in the blender
- 1 (12 ounce) bottle chili sauce
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar, firmly packed
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- Mix all ingredients for the meatballs together.
- Form into small balls.
- Cook in 2 tablespoons hot cooking oil.
- SAUCE: Combine ingredients in saucepan.
- Cook, over medium heat, until smooth.
- Pour over meatballs.
- Serve with boiled rice or serve by themselves as party snacks.
