Baked Ziti (with kale)
- 12 oz. Ziti, cooked al dente
- 1 bunch Kale, boiled and squeezed dry
- 1 lb. ground Beef
- 1 large Onion, chopped fine
- 3 cloves Garlic, minced
- 1 26 oz. Spaghetti sauce
- 1 can diced Tomatoes, drained
- 1 tbl. Sugar
- 1 tsp. pepper and garlic salt, each
- 1 tbl. Oregano
- 32 oz. Ricotta
- 8 oz shredded Motzarella
- 8 oz Asiago or Parm, shredded
- 8 oz Provolone, sliced
- Brown beef with onion and garlic, drain.
- Mix tomato products and spices, add meat.
- Mix cheeses (except provalone) and kale.
- Place 1 cup tomato mix in bottom of large pan.
- Add 1/2 of ziti.
- Add 1/2 cheese mixture.
- Repeat, topping with sauce.
- Cover with provolone cheese.
- Bake 375 until bubbly and brown.
- About 35 mins.
- Let stand 10 mins.
- and serve.
