Spiced Honey and Walnut Apples

  1. Combine the Philly*, honey and walnuts in a small bowl.
  2. Chill for 10 minutes.
  3. Place the apples, cloves, cinnamon stick, rind and sugar in a large saucepan.
  4. Just cover apples with water and gently simmer over low heat for about 10 minutes or until cooked.
  5. Remove apples with slotted spoon and allow apples to cool.
  6. Pipe or spoon the Philly* mixture into the cavity of each apple.
  7. Serve each apple drizzled with some syrup and extra walnut pieces.
