Juicy Lucy

  1. Crush the garlic cloves and dice the bacon into small pieces.
  2. In a large bowl add the ground beef, diced bacon, garlic, bbq sauce, salt and pepper.
  3. Mix well with your hands and create a ball.
  4. If the mixture is too runny add a beaten egg and mix again.
  5. On a clean surface take the mixture and form into patties.
  6. Make 4 patties.
  7. On one of the patties put a slice of mozarella.
  8. Put another patty on the patty with mozarella and mould it into one patty.
  9. Repeat for the other patty.
  10. Once molded, heat the grill or frying pan and add vegetable oil.
  11. When the oil is hot add the patties.
  12. Cook until centre is not raw and the cheese is melted, for about 20 minutes.
  13. Cut the burger buns in half and butter them.
  14. Toast them on the grill.
  15. When they are lightly toasted and the patties are cooked add ketchup, mayonnaise or mustard to the burger bun and place the patty on the bun.
  16. Serve with chips or wedges.
