Southwestern Sausage Quiche

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Put pie shell into a 9-inch pie plate and set aside.
  2. In a saute pan, fry up sausage until cooked thoroughly.
  3. Drain grease and set aside sausage.
  4. In the same pan using the butter and olive oil, saute onions until tender, approximately 5 minutes.
  5. Set aside to cool for about 5 minutes.
  6. In a bowl mix eggs, salt, pepper, cumin, green chilies and cheese.
  7. Then add cooled sausage and onions.
  8. Pour into the unbaked pie shell.
  9. Bake in the oven for approximately 1 hour or until the center comes out clean when you check it with a knife.
