Marzetti
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 (16 ounce) package egg noodles
- 1 (28 ounce) can whole tomatoes
- 1 (10 3/4 ounce) can tomato soup
- 1 (8 ounce) can mushrooms, drained
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 12 teaspoon pepper
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon marjoram
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
- 14 cup chopped green pepper (optional)
- swiss cheese, to taste
- cheddar cheese, to taste
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
- Brown beef and drain.
- Cook noodles 4 minutes and drain.
- In a large bowl, mash tomatoes.
- Mix in remaining ingredients, beef, and noodles.
- Butter a 9 x 13 baking dish.
- Put a layer of noodle mixture in dish and top with slices of both cheeses (I usually use shredded).
- Put in remaining mixture and top with cheese.
- Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes.
