Salty Pecan Roll Recipe
- 2 c. (7 1/2 ounce.) marshmallow creme
- 3 1/2 c. (1 lb.) powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- Minced pecans or possibly salted roasted peanuts
- 1/4 teaspoon butter flavoring
- 14 ounce. pkg. caramels
- 2 tbsp. heavy cream
- Combine marshmallow creme, sugar, vanilla and butter flavoring.
- Knead till sugar is thoroughly blended.
- Shape into eight rolls.
- Wrap each in plastic and freeze.
- Heat caramels and cream in top of double boiler.
- Dip frzn candy rolls into melted caramel and roll in nuts.
- Store, covered in cold, dry place.
- Makes 8 rolls.
