Simple and Fluffy Matcha Muffins

  1. Prepare the ingredients.
  2. The butter and egg should be room temperature.
  3. Preheat the oven to 180C.
  4. Whip the butter until it has a cream-like consistency.
  5. Add sugar and continue to whip until the mixture turns whitish.
  6. Add the lightly whisked egg and mix well.
  7. Sift in the ingredients marked with a , using a rubber spatula to blend with cutting motions.
  8. Add milk and lightly stir.
  9. The batter is ready once the dry ingredients disappear!
  10. Be careful not to knead it while mixing.
  11. Spoon into a baking tin and bake for about 25 minutes at 170C.
  12. While baking, test by inserting a toothpick--they're ready when it comes out clean.
