Jalapeno and Spirulina Hot Sauce

  1. In a nonstick pan toast the cumin and pumpkin seeds until fragrant and add to a blender.
  2. Add the remaining ingredients to the blender and puree until smooth.
  3. The flavors need to meld so refrigerate the puree overnight.
  4. Return the mixture to the blender and blend until you have a smooth paste.
  5. Pour the paste through a sieve to remove unblended material from the sauce.
  6. Discard the content from the sieve and put the paste into a bottle for future use.
