Teryaki Burger

  1. For the Hoisin Mayo: In a small bowl combine all ingredients.
  2. Cover and refrigerate for 1 hour before using.
  3. For the burgers: Put ground beef into a medium sized bowl.
  4. Pour teriyaki sauce onto ground beef.
  5. Mix by hand until just combined.
  6. Form into 4 patties.
  7. Season tops with salt and pepper.
  8. Heat a skillet or grill to medium high heat.
  9. Grill patties to desired temperature.
  10. For medium rare this takes about 5 minutes per side.
  11. Brush pineapple and onions lightly with olive oil.
  12. Grill for 2 to 3 minutes on each side.
  13. They should be softened with light grill marks.
  14. Lightly toast buns using your preferred method.
  15. For assembly: Spread mayo on the bottom half of each bun.
  16. Top with burger, pineapple and onion.
  17. Top with small handful of mixed greens and add the top bun.
