Mediterranean Burgers
- 3/4 pounds (more Or Less) Ground Turkey
- 3/4 pounds (more Or Less) Ground Lamb
- 2 Tablespoons Worcestershire
- 1 whole Egg
- 2 cloves Garlic, Minced
- 1/4 whole Red Onion, Minced
- 4 ounces, weight Feta Cheese, Crumbled
- 1 bunch Fresh Mint, Chopped
- 6 Tablespoons Tzatziki (Greek Yogurt & Cucumber Sauce)
- 6 Tablespoons Olive Tapenade/Paste
- 1 bunch Arugula
- 6 whole Sun (or Oven) Dried Tomatoes
- 6 whole Deli Rolls/Hamburger Buns
- 7 ounces, weight Greek Yogurt
- 1 whole Cucumber, Peeled And Grated (Squeeze Dry In A Paper Towel After Grating)
- 1 whole Lemon, Juiced
- 2 teaspoons Garlic Powder
- 2 teaspoons Olive Oil
- Salt And Pepper, to taste
- Chopped Dill, To Taste (optional
- 8 ounces, weight Pitted Kalamata Olives
- 3 cloves Garlic
- Olive Oil, As Needed To Thin The Mixture
- 1) Heat a charcoal grill to medium/high heat.
- 2) Combine turkey, lamb, Worcestershire, egg, garlic, red onion, feta cheese and mint in a bowl.
- Pull into fist-sized pieces and roll into balls.
- Smoosh lightly into patties, and be sure to keep a deep dimple in the center.
- (This keeps the patties moist!)
- 3) If you need to make tzatziki quickly, simply combine the tzatziki ingredients together.
- 4) If you need to make olive tapenade quickly, combine the olives and garlic in a food processor.
- Blend until smooth and drizzle olive oil in as needed to thin.
- 5) Cook burgers on the grill ALMOST to desired temperature, and add a sun dried tomato on top for the last 2 minutes or so on the grill.
- 6) Toast buns on the grill for 10-15 seconds.
- Spread tops with tzatziki, and the bottoms with olive tapenade, before adding the burger in between.
- Top with arugula and ENJOY!
