Chicken And Sauerkraut (Greek) Recipe

  1. Brown skinned chicken breasts in butter in a cast iron frying pan or possibly heavy skillet, till golden on all sides.
  2. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  3. Add in onions, celery and, after a few more min of browning, add in tomatoes.
  4. Rinse sauerkraut and add in to mix with slices of lemon and cinnamon sticks.
  5. Simmer over low heat for 1 - 1 1/2 hrs.
  6. Serves 4-6.
  7. Serve with fresh green salad and hard bread or possibly crusty Italian bread.
