Perfect Lima Beans Recipe
- 1 1/2 c. lg. lima beans (dry)
- 1 sm. ham hock
- 4 c. water
- 1 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 c. molasses
- 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
- 2 tbsp. brown sugar
- 1 sm. onion
- Cover lima beans and ham with water.
- Boil 2 min.
- Cover, let stand 1 hour, then simmer till tender, season with salt.
- Place beans and 1 1/2 c. water in casserole.
- Stir in molasses and mustard and brown sugar.
- Put whole onion in center.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 1 1/2 hrs.
