Ham & Maple-Apple Stack Waffles
- 2 tablespoons butter or 2 tablespoons margarine
- 2 cups tart apples, cored, sliced
- 14 cup maple syrup
- 14 teaspoon nutmeg
- 8 slices cooked ham
- 8 frozen waffles
- maple syrup
- In 10" skillet melt butter until sizzling, add apples, syrup and nutmeg.
- cook over medium heat stirring occasionally until apples are srispy tender.
- Place ham in same skillet, placing apples on ham slices.
- Continue cooking until heated through.
- Meanwhile toast or bake waffles according to package directions.
- Divide ham and apple mixture between 4 toasted waffles.
- Top with remaining toasted waffles.
- Serve with maple syrup.
