Window Omurice for a Character Bento
- 1 Stir-fried rice seasoned with ketchup
- 1 Usuyaki tamago
- 1 Mashed potato
- 1 Nori seaweed
- 1 Cheese
- 1 Ketchup
- Shape the stir-fried rice seasoned with ketchup into a mound.
- Wrap with the usuyaki tamago (thin egg crepe).
- Slit two horizontal parallel lines with a vertical line in the middle of the usuyaki tamago with a knife to form the window.
- Flip the cuts to open up the window.
- Stick spaghetti strands on the corners of the window shutters to fix them.
- Place a character made with mashed potato in the window.
- It's done.
- Pack in a lunch box!

- Many people asked me how to make usuyaki tamago, so I added my tips here.
- Beat an egg well, and strain with a tea strainer.
- (This step is important!)
- Heat a little amount of vegetable oil in a frying pan over low heat, then place the pan on a damp cloth once to cool.
- Put the beaten egg in the pan and cover with a lid.
- Heat over very low heat while keeping an eye on it and cook on both sides.
- It will be the beautiful yellow very thin omelette.
