Filbert Fancies

  1. Coarsely chop filberts; spread on baking sheet and toast at 350 until golden brown, about 10 minutes.
  2. Cool.
  3. Combine egg, sugar, butter, vanilla and salt.
  4. Beat until very light and fluffy.
  5. Blend in chocolate.
  6. Combine marshmallows and filberts; fold in chocolate mixture.
  7. Drop from teaspoon into bowl of coconut; roll evenly to coat.
  8. Place on waxed paper.
  9. Let stand until set.
