Braised Beef Recipe

  1. Cut the meat into 3/4 inch slices.
  2. Place meat in a 2 qt casserole.
  3. Add in 3/4 c. water, vinegar, chopped onion and chili pwdr.
  4. Cover with plastic wrap.
  5. Microwave at high (100%) 5 min.
  6. Microwave at medium (50%) till beef is tender, 36 to 38 min, stirring after half the cooking time.
  7. Stir in currant jelly, gravy mix and remaining water.
  8. Microwave at medium high (70%) till mix boils, 3 to 4 min.
  9. Serve with rice or possibly noodles.
  10. Makes 6 servings.
