Easy Medicinal-Style Hot Pot
- 1 piece Ginger
- 1 clove Garlic
- 20 cm Green onion or scallion
- 1 tbsp Pure sesame oil
- 2 tbsp 1) Black bean garlic sauce
- 1 tbsp 1) Doubanjiang
- 1 tsp 1) Weipa or chicken stock
- 1 tbsp 2) Sake
- 1 tbsp 2) Soy sauce
- 600 ml 2) Water
- 1 pinch Sugar
- 1 pinch Salt
- 1 Any ingredients you want to add
- Finely chop the ginger and garlic.
- Cut the green onion into fine pieces.
- Add sesame oil to a heated earthenware pot and stir fry the ginger, garlic, and green onions.
- When fragrant, add the 1) ingredients and stir fry again.
- Then add the 2) ingredients and bring to a simmer.
- Add sugar and salt.
- Taste to check the flavor.
- Add any other ingredients you want to have in the hot pot, and boil.
