Three Bean Soup

• 1 lb smoked ham, chunks
• 2 12 quarts water
• 12 cup dried red kidney beans
• 12 cup dried great northern beans
• 12 cup dry pinto beans
• 14 cup onion, chopped
• 3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
• 1 bay leaf
• 2 cups carrots (sliced round)
• 1 teaspoon salt

1. Put water in large stew pot with all ingredients except carrots.
2. Bring to a rolling boil.
3. Reduce heat to simmer.
4. Cover and cook about 2 hours or till beans are about done.
5. Add carrots to soup& cover.
6. cook an additional hour or till carrots and beans are done.
