Toasted Rice and Pasta Pilaf

  1. Heat oil in med pan over med.
  2. heat.
  3. Add rice and spag.
  4. cook stirring constantly until golden brown; 3-5 minutes.
  5. Add onion and cook stirring 3 mins longer.
  6. Add broth and bayleaf.
  7. Bring to a boil.
  8. Lower heat, and simmer covered until rice is tender and broth is absorbed; 15-17 minutes Remove from heat, discard leaf.
  9. Fluff with fork, stir in parsley.
