Sauerkraut With Apples Recipe
- 1 c. minced onion
- 1/4 c. butter
- 1 (1 pound 11 ounce.) can sauerkraut
- 1 1/2 c. apple slices
- 2 tbsp. brown sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon dry mustard
- Saute/fry onion in butter till soft and clear but not brown.
- Mix with sauerkraut.
- Place alternate layers of kraut and apples in greased 1 1/2 qt casserole.
- Sprinkle with brown sugar and mustard.
- Cover and bake in moderate oven (375 temperature) for 30 min.
- Good with ham, pork chops or possibly polish sausage.
