Ginger Cake

  1. Preheat oven to 375.
  2. Combine flour, soda, powder and spices.
  3. Cream together butter, sugar, and oil.
  4. Add molasses and stir well.
  5. Beat in egg yolks.
  6. Stir in Madeira and milk.
  7. Beat in dry ingredients.
  8. Beat egg whites to stiff peaks and fold in gently.
  9. Pour batter into well greased 10 inch tube pan.
  10. Bake for 1 hours 15 minute.
  11. Cool and serve.
