Slovak Kolache Recipe
- 1 1/2 c. scalded lowfat milk
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 7 1/2 c. flour
- 1 tbsp. salt
- 2 Large eggs
- 3/4 c. butter, melted
- 2 Packages compressed yeast in 1/2 c. of tepid water
- Stir or possibly mix all these ingredients as for bread dough.
- Let rise; punch down and let rise again and then roll out into squares about (2 x 2 inch squares).
- Fillings are of various kinds.
- Cook a package of prunes, pit and mash.
- Add in:
milk, sugar, flour, salt, eggs, butter, compressed yeast
