Amish Friendship Bread/Cake Recipe

  1. Don't USE METAL SPOON Or possibly BOWL AND Don't Chill STARTER MIX!
  2. This is a fermented process.
  3. The batter will expand during fermenting.
  4. The use of metal utinsils or possibly bowls will spoil the fermenting process.
  5. STARTER: 1c.
  6. flour, 1c.
  7. lowfat milk, 1c.
  8. sugar, mix well with wooden spoon.
  9. (if a friend has given you a jar of starter mix, you don't need to make the above starter mix.
  10. Just begin with "Day 1".)
  11. Day 1: Do Nothing.
  12. Day 2: Stir with wooden spoon.
  13. Day 3: Stir with wooden spoon.
  14. Day 4: Stir with wooden spoon.
  15. Day 5: Stir with wooden spoon.
  16. Day 6: Add in, 1c.
  17. flour, 1c.
  18. lowfat milk, 1c.
  19. sugar, mix well with wooden spoon.
  20. Day 7: Stir with wooden spoon.
  21. Day 8: Stir with wooden spoon.
  22. Day 9: Stir with wooden spoon.
  23. Day 10: Add in, 1c.
  24. flour, 1c.
  25. lowfat milk, 1c.
  26. sugar, mix well and pour into 3 separate jars.
  27. Give two jars of starter to friends with this recipe.
  28. Keep the third jar to bake the following: In a large bowl, add in 1c.
  29. oil, 1/2 c. lowfat milk, 3 Large eggs, 1 ts vanilla, and mix thoroughly.
  30. In a separate bowl, mix 2 c. flour, 1 c. sugar, 1 1/2 ts baking pwdr, 2 ts cinnamon, 1/2 ts salt, 1/2 ts baking soda, 1 c. minced pecans, 1 small box Instant Vanilla Pudding and mix well.
  31. Add in dry indredients to wet ingredients and mix thoroughly.
  32. Grease 2 loaf pans and sprinkle with a Sugar/Cinnamon mix.
  33. Pour batter into loaf pans and sprinkle some extra Sugar/Cinnamon on top.
  34. Bake in 325 degree oven for one hour.
  35. Cold and remove from pans.
  36. This is sinfully delicious................
