Beef Brisket In Beer Recipe
- 3 lb lean beef roast
- 2 x onion sliced
- 1 x bay leaf
- 1 c. beer
- 1/4 c. chili sauce
- 2 Tbsp. brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp dry thyme crushed
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- 1 x clove garlic chopped
- 2 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 2 Tbsp. water
- Trim fat from roast.
- Cut to fit crockpot.
- Put meat in, cover with onions, bay leaf.
- Combine beer, chili sauce, sugar, thyme, salt, pepper, and garlic; pour over meat.
- Cover and cook on low for 10-12 hrs or possibly high for 5-6 hrs.
- Transfer meat to platter and keep hot.
- Throw away bay leaf.
- Skim fat from cooking juices.
- Measure 2 1/2 c. juices and place in a saucepan.
- Combine cornstarch and water; add in to saucepan.
- Cook and stir until thick and bubbly.
- Cook for 2 minutes.

- Pass with meat.
- NOTES : Left over beer can be frzn for the next time.
