Cheese Wafers
- 8 ounces, weight Sharp Cheddar Cheese, Grated
- 1/4 pounds Butter, Softened
- 1- 1/2 cup All-purpose Flour
- 1/2 teaspoons Salt
- 18 teaspoons Cayenne Pepper
- Pecan Halves To Garnish
- Mix everything together well (except pecan halves) and roll into a log that is about 2 inches in diameter.
- Wrap the log in waxed paper and refrigerate.
- When the log is chilled, slice in 1/4-inch slices, place on a baking sheet and place a pecan half on top of each slice.
- Bake at 350 degrees F for 8-10 minutes, until they barely start to brown on the edges.
