Historic Core Cocktail

• Ice
• 1 ounce bonded rye whiskey, such as Rittenhouse
• 3/4 ounce bonded apple brandy
• 1/4 ounce green Chartreuse
• 1 lemon twist, for garnish (optional)
• 3/4 ounce Carpano Antica Formula or other sweet vermouth
• Dash of Angostura bitters

1. Fill a pint glass with ice.
2. Add all of the remaining ingredients except the garnish and stir well.
3. Strain into a chilled coupe, pinch the lemon twist over the drink and drop it in.
