Rusk-style Bread Crusts

  1. Slice off the bread crusts.
  2. You should get 20 pieces.
  3. Place a layer of aluminium foil in the toaster oven, then arrange the crusts on top.
  4. Top with pats of butter, then sprinkle with granulated sugar.
  5. Toast in the toaster oven until crisp.
  6. Bake for longer than regular toast.
  7. You can make these even fancier by sprinkling on cocoa powder or cinnamon.
  8. The photo shows my favorite brand of butter.
