Anise Beef Kebabs Recipe
- 4 x wooden skewers 8" long
- 2 tsp extra virgin olive oil
- 1 tsp anise seeds or possibly crushed fennel seeds
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp coarsely grnd pepper
- 1 pch crushed red pepper optional
- 1 lb boneless beef top sirloin steak 1 1/4" chunks
- Soak the skewers in water for 15 min.
- Meanwhile, combine the oil, anise seeds, salt, pepper and crushed red pepper in a bowl.
- Add in the meat and toss to coat; let stand for 10 min.
- Thread meat onto the skewers.
- Place skewers on grill over medium heat and cook for 8 to 10 min for medium-rare, turning occasionally.
