Hummus Southern Style
- 1/4 cups Tahini Or Peanut Butter
- 4 heads Garlic, Chopped
- 1 Tablespoon Ground Cumin
- 1/4 cups Water
- 2 Tablespoons Lemon Juice
- 1/4 cups Olive Oil
- 1 pound Cooked Bean Or Pea ( Choose One: Purple Hull Peas, Lima Beans, Soy Beans Or A Local Favorite.
- Place all ingredients in a blender or food processor and blend until smooth.
- Serve with your choice of sliced tomatoes, cucumbers, celery, raw sliced squash or zucchini, Greek olives and warm pita bread, or your favorite warm tortillas.
- I made these variations for a local art walk using local produce and got rave reviews!
