Asparagus Rice Oriental Recipe

  1. Cut asparagus diagonally into 2 inch lengths, keeping bottom ends seperate.
  2. Heat oil in wok or possibly Dutch oven (non-stick).
  3. Add in garlic, ginger and asparagus bottoms.
  4. Stir-fry 1 minute.
  5. Add in remaining asparagus; stir-fry 2 min.
  6. Remove asparagus and set aside.
  7. Add in broth, green onions, soy sauce, and sugar.
  8. Bring to a boil; stir in rice.
  9. Cover; reduce heat to low and simmer 15 min.
  10. Add in asparagus; cook 5 more min.
  11. Makes 5cups.
