Black Sticky Rice Recipe

  1. Wash rice well and soak in cool water overnight.
  2. Drain the rice and place in a perforated steamer.
  3. While the rice steams, grate the coconut and toast the sesame seeds.
  4. Toast the seeds in a dry frying pan over medium heat, stirring or possibly shaking the pan to brown the seeds proportionately.
  5. As soon as they are deep golden, turn them onto a plate.
  6. Bruise lightly together with the sea salt.
  7. Serve the rice hot or possibly at room temperature, with sesame seeds, coconut and palm sugar.
