Turkey Meatballs
- 1 whole Small Onion
- 5 Tablespoons Olive Oil, Divided
- 1- 1/2 pound Ground Turkey
- 5 Tablespoons Bread Crumbs
- 1 whole Large Egg
- 1 Tablespoon Italian Seasoning
- 2 teaspoons Fresh Chopped Parsley
- 1/2 bulbs Roasted Garlic Crushed Into Paste
- 1/2 teaspoons Crushed Red Pepper Flakes
- 2 Tablespoons Milk
- 1 teaspoon Kosher Salt
- 1/2 teaspoons Ground Pepper
- 1/2 cups Pecorino Or Parmesan Cheese
- 1 jar (24 Oz. Size) Marinara Sauce Of Your Choice
- Saute onion in a little olive oil, about 1 tablespoon.
- In a large bowl add the remaining ingredients (except the marinara sauce and remaining olive oil) and mix well.
- Gently mix, being careful not to overwork the meat.
- Shape into golfball-size balls.
- I use an ice cream scoop so they are even in size.
- In a large nonstick skillet, heat the remaining 4 tablespoons (1/4 cup) oil over medium heat.
- Add meatballs and, without moving or turning the meat, allow it to brown for about 3 minutes.
- Turn meatballs and brown other side.
- Add marinara sauce, cover and cook on low for about 20 minutes.
