Two-Colored Matcha Adzuki Bean Steamed Cake made with a Hand Mixer
- 100 grams Pancake mix
- 70 grams Yogurt
- 1 Egg
- 5 grams Butter or margarine
- 1 tbsp Matcha or aojiru
- 1 as much as you need to make it the color you like (You can also use matcha latte mix)
- 50 grams Amanatto or boiled adzuki beans
- Add all of the ingredients to a bowl (no need to drain the yogurt, but melt the butter first), then mix with an egg beater until smooth.
- Add half of the batter to a microwave safe container, and drop it several times to flatten.
- Let the surface dry a bit and microwave for about 40 seconds to harden.
- It will swell right away, so keep a close eye on it!
- Once the surface has dried a bit, spread out the amanatto (or boiled adzuki beans) evenly.
- Add the matcha to the remaining half of the batter, and mix well.
- Pour in the matcha over the amanatto batter, and microwave at 500W for 3~4 minutes.
- Poke it with a toothpick.
- If it comes out clean, it's done.
