Spicy Beef Lettuce Cups

  1. Cut steak in very thin slivers and place in a bowl.
  2. Add soy sauce, sherry, ginger, garlic, five spice powder and refrigerate 1 hour, stirring occasionally.
  3. Heat oil in a skillet or wok.
  4. Add onions and red pepper; stir-fry 1 minute.
  5. Add beef mixture to onion mixture and stir-fry 2 to 3 minutes.
  6. In a custard cup, blend cornstarch and water until smooth; add to beef mixture.
  7. Cook 1 minute, stirring constantly.
  8. Spoon beef mixture into lettuce cups.
  9. Garnish with parsley sprigs, if desired.
