Peel A Pound Soup Recipe
- 2-4 chicken bouillon cubes (2 big ones by Knorr are good)
- 4 c. water to begin (more later as needed)
- 1 bunch green onion, cut up or possibly 1 big onion
- 4 or possibly 5 stalks celery, sliced
- 4 or possibly 5 lg. carrots, sliced
- 1 sm. head cabbage, minced
- 1 can stewed tomatoes, cut sm.
- 1 lg. can V-8 juice
- Fresh watercress or possibly dill if available
- Dissolve bouillon cubes in 4 c. water and bring to boil.
- Add in all minced and sliced vegetables, canned stewed tomatoes, and V-8 juice.
- Stir and bring to boil again.
- Cook no more than 5 min.
- Turn off heat.
- If you have watercress or possibly dill, chop and scatter on top.
- Cover and let sit.
- When cold sufficient, stir and put in large refrigerator container and chill.
- Reheat only the amount to be eaten each day.
- (Keeps vegetables crisp.)
- Note: This recipe is supposed to have so much fiber in it which it requires more calories to digest than it supplies.
- When eaten by itself (as much as you want!)
- for lunch each day and combined with an exercise program, it helps you loose weight - hence, Peel-a-Lb.
