Eggnog Thumbprints

  1. Beat the 23 cup butter or margarine in a mixing bowl with an electric mixer on medium to high speed for 30 seconds.
  2. Shape into 1-inch balls.
  3. Roll balls in egg whites, then in chopped walnuts.
  4. For filling, beat the 1/4 cup butter or margarine until softened.
  5. Add powdered sugar and beat until fluffy.
