Basic Creamy Vanilla Buttercream Frosting
- 1 cup room temperature salted butter
- 4 cup confectionary sugar
- 3 tbsp cream, heavy cream for the best texture but light cream , half and half , or milk can be substituted.
- 2 tsp pure vanilla extract
- Beat sugar and butter until mixed add cream and vanilla and beat until light and fluffy about 2 minutes If its to stiff add drops mire of cream until desired consistancy.
- Use to frost one 2 layer cake or 24 cupcakes
- TIP FOR A PERFECT LIGHT CREAMY FROSTING--If your frosting seems dry or powdery or to thick add more cream in small amounts and beat well it should be light and fluffy.
