Simple Datemaki Rolls in the Oven

  1. Preheat your oven to 400F (200C).
  2. Add everything marked with a to a bowl and microwave it so the alcohol evaporates.
  3. Line the cake pan with parchment paper.
  4. Take what you made in Step 1 and all of the other ingredients and either blend in a blender or in a food processor until smooth.
  5. You could also use an electric mixer.
  6. Pour what you just made into the lined cake pan and then bake it for 10 minutes at 400F (200C).
  7. After that bake it for another 10 minutes at 350F (180C).
  8. Bake until the color changes.
  9. (This side will face outward on the omelette.)
  10. When it's done, while it's still hot, take it out of the pan and flip it so the part that was facing up in the oven, is now face down on top of a bamboo rolling mat.
  11. Peel off the paper and roll it up in the mat.
  12. Put four rubber bands around the mat and then leave it to chill as is for about 3 hours.
  13. After that, wrap it with plastic wrap and store in the refrigerator.
  14. Once it's chilled to perfection, the pungent smell of fish will have disappeared.
  15. You can substitute honey for sugar, use about 40 g.
