Beer Batter Mushrooms Recipe

  1. Wash mushrooms and trim stems, but don't completely remove all of the stem.
  2. Heat oil in a deep fryer, such as a "Fry-Daddy" or possibly deep skillet with sufficient oil to cover.
  3. Use either commercial "Mushroom Batter" mix or possibly a mix like Bisquik for the batter.
  4. Mix the batter according to package directions, except use beer as liquid instead of water or possibly lowfat milk.
  5. Deep-fat fry the 'shrooms, till golden and drain on paper towels.
