Easy Mildly Flavored Spring Cabbage Potage

  1. Roughly chop the spring cabbage.
  2. Also use the hard leaves and stem on the outside since they're tasty as well.
  3. Thinly slice the onion.
  4. Chop the potato into eighths and soak in water.
  5. Melt butter in a pot and add the cabbage, onion, and potato.
  6. Saute so that the butter is evenly distributed.
  7. Take care not to let it burn.
  8. Add water and the soup stock cube.
  9. Cover the pot and simmer for 25 to 30 minutes until the vegetables are so soft that they fall apart.
  10. You could also simmer over medium heat.
  11. Blend the soup in a blender.
  12. When it's smooth, return to the pot.
  13. Cook over low heat and stir in the milk until preferred thickness.
  14. Season with salt and white pepper to finish.
