Chocolate-Peppermint Mini Pretzels
- 1 bag (16 Oz. Size) Milk Chocolate Morsels
- 1/4 teaspoons Pure Mint Extract
- 2 whole Standard Size Candy Canes, Unwrapped
- 3 cups Mini Pretzels
- In a microwave safe bowl add milk chocolate morsels.
- Using 30 second intervals heat chocolate in the microwave.
- Stir well between additional 30 second heating intervals.
- Once smooth, add peppermint extract and stir again.
- Set aside.
- Into a zip-lock bag add the candy canes, seal the bag and use a rolling pin crush them into tiny pieces.
- Using a spoon add several pretzels into the melted peppermint chocolate.
- Using your clean hands remove chocolate-covered mini pretzels and sprinkle on some candy cane bits.
- Then place on a waxed paper lined platter.
- Be patient.
- This will take a few minutes to prepare but it is so worth the effort.
- Repeat until all the mini pretzels are used.
- Allow the chocolate to set then transfer chocolate-peppermint covered pretzels to a nice serving dish.
- Serve and enjoy!
- Refrigerate any leftovers in an airtight container.
