Cabbage and ground beef
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 cup onions finely chopped
- 4 cloves garlic finely chopped
- 4 x bay leaves
- 1 pound ground beef, lean
- 1 cup carrots chopped
- 1 x jalapeno pepper sliced with seeds if you wanted spicy
- 2 x beef bouillon cubes
- 5 cups cabbage Finely chopped
- 1 cup water
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoon italian seasoning
- 1 tablespoon paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon cumin
- In a large skillet, heat oil and saute onion, garlic and bay leaves.
- Brown beef well.
- Add the rest of the ingredients in the listed order.
- Bring to boil and turn down to low.
- Press cabbage down once it starts to wilt.
- Stir after 15 minutes.
- Cook for 30 minutes, total.
