Harvest Sweet Potato Biscuits Recipe
- 2 c. sifted flour
- 4 teaspoon baking pwdr
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2/3 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 2 c. mashed sweet potatoes
- 1/4 c. lowfat milk
- Sift first 4 ingredients together into bowl.
- Cut in shortening till crumbly.
- Stir in sweet potatoes.
- Add in lowfat milk; mix well.
- Turn onto floured board.
- Knead lightly.
- Roll to 1/2 inch thickness.
- Cut with 2 inch biscuit cutter.
- Place on greased baking sheet.
- Bake in 475 degree oven for 12 to 15 min.
